MAILQUEUE, written by Kai Iske January 13. 1995
This is PUBLIC DOMAIN; you may do with it whatever you like
If you change/republish/delete/sell the program or do anything similar, please
be so kind to keep my name within the program and all the other files, even
though you`re not obliged to, as for the definition of Public Domain
This is just a little program to use with the INetUtils for AmiTCP/AS225,
especially for your SMTPSpool directory. The program will monitor all queued
files within the SMTPSpool directory and display the number of messages in a
small window, you may position somewhere on your Workbench. As soon as a
message is queued/deleted, the information will be updated.
MAILQUEUE was written using SAS 6.5....
MAILQUEUE requires netsupport.library, which can be found on AmiNet
or on several other sources. This library is not contained
in the distribution of MAILQUEUE. It can be found as
/pub/aminet/comm/net/NSP*.*
!!! MailQueue requires OS 2.x and up to run, MailQueue is PURE !!!
----------------------
What does MAILQUEUE???
----------------------
It will simply monitor all files starting with "D." (the name all queued
messages start with), located in your SMTPSpool directory. As stated above,
information will be shown in a window, how much messages are queued.
MailQueue WINX/N,WINY/N,OPENNOW/S
NOTE: You must have either SMTPSpoolDir defined as Environment variable or have
it set in your config file (usually uulib:Config)
Explanation
WINX - Specifies the X position of the information window (default 0)
WINY - Specifies the Y position of the information window (default 0)
OPENNOW - Normally, MailQueue won`t open the window on startup
if there aren`t any messages queued. If you prefer to have
the window opened, even if there aren`t any message, when
starting MailQueue, supply this parameter
ZEROCLOSE - Tells MailQueue to close the window, as soon as there aren`t
any messages queued, anymore
ONLYWB - Will cause MailQueue to only open it`s window on Workbench
SENDMAIL - This is for UUCP sendmail compatibility. Sendmail produces
two D.#? files per mail. This switch causes MailQueue
to only display half the amount of matching files, thus
showing the correct number of queued mails.
Examples
MailQueue 10 10 OPENNOW
Will open the window at 10/10 on your Workbench Screen
---------------------------
How to install MAILQUEUE???
---------------------------
Simply copy it to a directory within you search path (eg. AmiTCP:Bin)
------------
Version 37.0
------------
- initial release
------------
Version 37.1
------------
- Added new ONLYWB option, whichs causes the program
to only open it`s window, on Workbench
- MailQueue wasn`t really pure, as it used to set up LibBases
as globals (well, technically wasn`t pure ;)). Changed.
(Reported by : WShell users)
- Whoops, wrong version string contained in executable ;)
- Added ZEROCLOSE option to hide the Queue window when no messages are
queued. (This was done by Greg Patterson; thanks Greg)
------------
Version 37.2
------------
- Added SendMail switch, which acts as a SENDMAIL compatible
switch. SendMail creates two D.#? entries for one mail.
The SendMail switch causes MailQueue to halve the number
of files found, in order to show the number of mails

Hope you like it, if not, delete it......
So long,
Kai
